Any big changes with the
program for 2010?
For 2010, the program remains
virtually identical to 2009. The big
news - you can now book your tee times on-line. Early
and value green fee rates are unchanged, but the value green fee
rate time now starts at 1PM on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
It stays at 11am Monday to Friday. A new enhancement
for 2010 will let you access the rate your card offers after October
15/10 without re-loading your card. For rounds redeemed after
July 1/10, HST will be charged on green fees.
Now & Again Golfer - If you use the entire
value of the card for green fees only, and played half in the early
part of the day, and half after 11AM (or after 1PM
on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays or Statutiry Holidays) you
will get nearly 10 rounds from this value card.
Frequent Golfer - If you use the entire value of
the card for green fees only, and played half in the early part
of the day, and half after 11AM (or after 1PM on
Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays or Statutiry Holidays), you will
get nearly 20 rounds from this value card.
Addicted Golfer - If you used the entire value
of the card for green fees only, and played half in the early part
of the day, and half after 11AM (or after 1PM on
Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays or Statutiry Holidays), you will
get nearly 40 rounds from this value card.
How
do the on-line tee time bookings work?
At the front of our site,
there is a link to the new
on-line
booking engine. You can book tee times at all three courses
as far in advance as you wish. Login and tee time selection
is very intuitive - no passwords needed. Make sure you carefully
select the course you want to play from the pull down menu.
When you select a tee time, the rates shown will be our rack rates.
You will need to enter credit card information to secure your booking
- you will immediately be sent a confirmation of your tee time by
e-mail.
Your credit card will not be charged unless you fail
to show for your tee time, or do not cancel within 6 hours of the
tee time (you can cancel tee times on-line 24/7
or by phone when we are open).
When you arrive
for your time, you will be charged the rate your Golf Kelowna purchase
offers, and you can pay by using your Golf Kelowna Value
Card, Tour Pack, or any other payment method. The engine for
the on-line bookings is very secure and is in use throughout North
America. Book on-line with confidence.
What other benefits come
with the Value Cards?
- Transferability – up to two rounds, per course, per day at the
rates your card offers
- Guest Rates – up to 3 of your guests will be offered the Golf
Kelowna Player’s Club rates - $47 early rate, and a $42 value
rate (after 11am Monday to Friday, and after 1PM
on Saturdays, Sundays or Statutory Holidays)
- Power Cart discounts - $2 per cart (based on two riders)
When should I buy my package?
You do not need to buy your Golf
Kelowna Tour Pack or Value Card until you show up at the first course
you intend to play. Book your tee times in advance with each course
individually, then simply buy the package of your choice on arrival
(rather than paying rack rates).
How do I book Tee Times?
Either on-line (see separate 'on-line
bookings' question above), or by calling the golf courses individually
- there is no central phone booking option for tee times.See the '
Golf
Courses' section for phone numbers. For phone bookings, you may
be asked to give a credit card # to hold your tee time, but you will
not be charged unless you fail to show for your tee time.
Can I use my card to pay
for guests (transferability)?
All of the Golf Kelowna Value cards
offer up to TWO green fees per course, per day at the rates your card
offers. In addition, up to 3 of your guests will be offered the Golf
Kelowna Player’s Club rates - $47 early rate, and a $42 value rate
(after 11am Monday to Friday, and after 1PM on Saturdays,
Sundays or Statutory Holidays).
What else can I buy with
the value cards?
You can buy any product or service
from the Pro Shops at any of the Golf Kelowna courses. The primary
benefit, of course, is the attractive green fee rates (savings of
up to nearly 50% on 2009 rack rates). Entirely at your option, you
can also use the value of your card towards renting power carts or
purchasing any merchandise. This is a great benefit in the fall if
the season ends earlier than we all hope for – rather than losing
your remaining round tickets, you can simply buy something in the
Pro Shop. The value cards cannot be used for food & beverage purchases.
What happens when my card
is done? Can I add more value?
Yes. You can add to any of the
Value Cards in $200 increments at any time in the season. The green
fee rate your original purchase offered will remain the same.
After October 15/10, you do not need to re-load your card if it is
has no remaining value - present your card, and we will continue to
offer you the rate your card offered. Simply make payment with
whatever other method you choose.
What happens if I lose
my card?
If you record the # of your card
at home in a safe place, we can retrieve & cancel remaining value
of your card. We can re-issue you a card for the same season with
the remaining value, less a $20 administration charge.
